I'm BAAAAACK!
Be amazed. Well, I'm gonna put something...rather long...about Metrocon, even though it is a BIT late. I wrote it on my myspace...so if anyone wanted to read it here, feel free! ALSO I'm gonna write up about toonami jetstream! It has the Prince of Tennis...dubed...*shivers*
Yes...METROCON! It was AWSUM! I went for all three days, met ALL the voice actors and got pictures with them, made a new freind (who loves Greg too), watched the COOLEST anime human chess match, met GREG (WEEE!!!), Saw PLID, and...GAH! So much more. ^.^ It was sooooo fun. I'm gonna do a day by day recap with in depth details about this massive event...so it may take a few days! Yeah, it was that cool! I'm also gonna put up some pics. Did I mention I met all the voice actors AND got pics with them? Yeah...I did. I got two with Greg. ^-^ Oh...wait. I didn't get one with Scott...boooo. But, I'll live. So...let's seeeeeeee...where to start?
FRIDAY!!!!
Okay, so I got up three times. One at 2 am when mom was going pee.
ME:"OMG!!! IS IT TIME?!?!?!:"
Mom: "Shut up..."
So, yeah. Then one thime to go pee, then I Got up again and then one more time...THE TIME!!! ^0^ So I got dressed and was all "OMG OMG OMG!!!!"...then Whit came and we were like..."OMG OMG OMG!!!!" times two. Then Katie came and gave me Kingdoms Heart 2 to play (Which kicks ass by the way) then we were like "OMG OMG OMG!!!"times three! So we go in the car, feared for my life (hey, she drives crazy) and then got lost. O.O BUT WE MADE IT!!!! Two hours early...but that was good! I was running to the doors and Katie and Whit were draging their feet going "We didn't sleeeeepppp" and I was bouncing off the walls. It was somewhat sad...T.T
Lalala...we went up the moving escaltor thingy. I must say, I was jumping up and down like a monkey. Then my heart sank...there was this huge line for tickets....T.T...BUT!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I HAD RODE SHEKRA AND GOT A THREE DAY PASSS!!!!! Booshaw...So we got in the kinda short line. So we waited for, oh, ten minutes? Yeah, about that. So we go to the front and there was this jackass diredting the line...and he was rude. Katie was like "Grrrrrrrrrrr......" and I was like" WEEEEE!! METROCON!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!" So we got our tickets after much confusion. I also got some J-pop posters. Woot.
Okay...I need to catch my breath...then I'll be back.
BACK!...Now where was I....TICKETS!
Okay, so we got our tickets and ran BACK downstaris so we could get to the opening ceremonies. YAY! Well I thought we would be late...but my dislexia kicked in and I read my call pone wrong...so we ended up waiting in line for an hour or so. ^-^ Whit and Katie kinda glared at me, kinda. So we waited and waited. Then, AFTER SO LONG, we were let in. I was running around trying to find a seat close to the stage...then I saw it! Lol. Greg was sitting down at a table thingy and I spazzed and sat PRETTY close to the table. Booshaw.
Well the ceremonies went on, got to see some voice actors walk down the cat walk, got to see eyeshine jump around on stage, and did I mention I got to see somw VA's walk down the cat walk?? It was funny. BUT, the FUNNIEST part was Vic's video saying why he couldn't come. He was on his roof crying...wich is jsut funny, okay?!
Those ended and we ran around like crazy people. I met Luci and saw Scott McNeil. Also saw Greg, but didn't talk to him...I was overcome with fear.
OH! In the dealers room a RP tingy was goning on! IT WAS SOOOOO FUNNY! The guy from FF9 was running around. He was hot. He was also Ed from last years (and this years, but were not there yet!) Anime Human Chess Match! It was fun. I we followed them around for some time, he hid behind me. I spazzed. Katie got a picture. I spazzed again. ^-^
Ummm. Did some panels and stuff, then tierdness struck. Katie was SO tierd and left. So I was sad...then WHIT was tierd, but we did not leave!!!! I WANTED TO SEE THE RAVE!!! ^-^ So, more panels...Yup. I can't remeber the name of the movie I saw in one of the panels, but boy it was funny. Jones and Swasy (Spelled that Wrong) made this dubed Japanese monsert movie..but the dub was red necked...>.< Lets just say, they were drunk when they made it. I just about burts a kiddney when I watched it.
RAVE! I didn't get to stay long..like five minutes...but it was COOL! The few minuted that I heard were awsum! Greg is really talented. Of course I don't have anyone to compare him too...but fromwhat I heard it kicked butt.
Then we left. I was sad, but I DID get to hear a few seconds of him. So...I shall live. NEXT YEAR I WILL STAY!!!
SATURDAY
Joey came with me on Saturday. He's cool. Kinda. Well, his one redeming quality is he can pick is toung with his nose...that's gotta count for something.
So, Saturday was the best out of all the days. We got there and I went to a few panels, and then ...THE ANIME HUMAN CHESS MATCH!!! THat was the big thing. It rocked, plian and simple. A few hot guys...like the guy who dressed up as Ban from Get Backers, Kyo, Ed, and another guy. It was wonderful. I scremed, I cried, I sreamed some more, I laughed, I screamed...well I acted like a complete fangirl! YAY!!! It was really fun. I sat next to Alexis who had no idea her ears were going to be bleeding bytime the whole thing was over. Joey sat behind me. HAHAHAHAHA! But, poor poor Alexis. I kept on grabing her arm and screaming (Do you all get I was sceaming?). BUT IT WAS SO FUN! The Getbackers come on, and I just 'bout peed my pants. And then...*takes deep breath* BAN TOOK HIS SHIRT OFF!!! Yay. It was funny. He also 'fake' (Boooo) made out with Ginji, which sent me into another fit of screams.
Seriously though, cons do that to you. They make you a whole diffrent person. I'm not USUALLY that fangirly...but damn, people couldn't tell. I was running around that con, foaming at the mouth. But so was everyone else.
So, left the CM breathless and had to use meh inhaler. That was fun. Talked to Justin on my cell. Say Nina and Katie. That was also fun. Went to the dealers room, walked around. Joey bought TONS of stuff, and let me skim through eyeshield 21. So nice of him. Ha also fed me. ^o^ Katie spazzed over this one guy who was in eyeshine. Yeah, spazzed. It was somewhat scary. Then I met Terra. Se likes Greg, thus I like her. Lol. We hit it off. So, we walked around, got a picture with the Kyo cosplayer...and..GREG AYRES!!!! *squell* Yeah. He had this CD out, Voices For Peace Cd WHICH he sings in...TWO TIMES!!! I bought it and hugged it close. Then the man himself walked in and I spazzed. I got my T-shirt signed by him, and a few hundred pictures. Because I'm a fangirl. Terra and I were in shock when this one guy donated and Greg got up and huged him. So gusse what we did?!?! WE DONATED!!!! HAHAHAHAH! But we didn't get a hug, but he did say thank you so much. Terra and I got a nice picture of him with us. It was awsum. Greg was REALLY nice, always is. So Terra and I were pretty much inseperab;e after that. We got another picture with Kyo. *drools*. The day went on, we driffted from one panel to the other. I went to Greg's panel (Big surprise) about bottleged DVD's and downlaoding them. I videotaped some. It was cool, then went to an ADV panel, won some stuff. That was fun. Then just waited for the PLID and Eyeshine concert. I waited in this one panel room and...GREG SHOWED UP!!! HOLY COW!!! I was jumping up and down. He showed us NEGIMA, his new tittle. He is Negi...AND IS SO CUTE!! Greg is WONDERFULL as Negi. You can't even tell it's him. O.o
So watched that, it was cute. Then it was time. CONCERT!!! We were RIGHT by the stage, like...we were touching it. Lol. The Eyeshine was pretty cool. Kyo put up a sign so I took pictures of him. Lol.
THEN..PLID!!!!
But first we had to go outside and wait for them to finish a sound check. Once that was over we went back, foun a nice place, and sat on the stage for a few minutes. I took some pictures then DJ Shadowfax was like "I SEE YOU TAKING PICTURES" and I was like "IS that okay?" but I didn't say it. I kept on taking pictures and (since he WAS the DJ) he made sounds like a picture beging taken. So, I liked him. He put up some fog and I laughed. I was like "NOW I CAN'T PICTURES!!!" and he said "HAHAHAHAHA!". I got up, walked over, and took a picture of him. "Now I got one of you" I said and smiled. He laughed and I walked back to Joey and Terra...and Chris came on. I asked how he was doing, he said he had a headache and I said he better take some asprin or something, and I hoped he felt better...and then the concert started!! OMG!!!
It was amazing!
Chris Patton was in the band...enough said. Right? Hehehe. They have SUPER cool music and have this attitude like they don't care. But they do. I sang along. Infact...I was the only one who sang along to some songs. Chris smiled at me when I sang along and I just about fainted. Then I touched the singer guys foot and Terra tied the shoe. I spazzed. THEN MY FAVORITE SONG CAME ON!!!!!! I sang to it. The singing it smiled at me and nodded, and every other time he looked at me and smiled. I was really happy. They rocked...but I had to go. TT.TT I DID get to hear meh favorite song though.
SUNDAY!!!!!!
The last day. Katie took me and we got there kinda late...and she forgot her and Erics pass...>.< BUT I got to see the chess match again. Near the end Katie snuck in and took pictures with me and all the actors...like Ban...and Kyo. Happy day. I EVEN got a (bad) picture of Ginji and Ban making out. But at least it's something. I may put some pictures up...if Katie ever gives them to me. So...we saw Greg again and Katie got ANOTHEr picture of him and me. Then Katie TALKED to him. I was in shock, she asked where Chris might be so I could buy the PLID CD...and he sayed in the Guest room.
Poor Chris, he looked so tierd. SOOOO TIRED. I felt bad asking him...so Katie did. He said he didn't have one on him, and was REALLY. I wanted to get him to sign something for me...but he was just SO tierd... I couldn't. He left. But before he did he told me I should go online and buy it. So, I am...once I get some money. ^.^
Katie, Eric and I walked around a bit more, then left...I was a bit sad, because Metro was over. But once we left the building, you know what I said?
"I CAN'T WAIT 'TILL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!"
JETSTREAM!
First off, to anyone who read the WHOLE Metrocon thingy...I aplaude you. YOu rock.
Okay, now, Jetstream. Prince of Tennis dubed. By Viz....they should just stop. Seriously. But, they are better then 4kids.
Ryoma's voice isn't THAT bad. But the girls voice (and the grandmas voice T.T) were pretty sad. BUt for the most part, I can deal with it.
What I'm scared about is Kikumaru's and Kaoru's voices...>.< *shakes just thinking about it* And Momo's voice...AGH! I cried when he came up.
Also, MAR. It's pretty good. I haven't heard the Japanese, but the english dub is pretty good! I like Ginta's voice. I really liked it when he cried, it was funny. So that dub was pretty good.
Now, one thing I DO NOT like about Jetstream is...they are waiting to long to get the show out there! Why not wait a week, then show the second episode? >.<
BUT one bright side...when the DVD's come out...they WILL have the Japanese Dub...right?
